Ted (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a private nonprofit organization in the United States known for its TED conferences, the purpose of the conference is to"Spread all ideas worth spreading". Ted was born in 1984 by Richard so umann. Since 2001, The Chris Anderson has taken over Ted, creating The Sapling Foundation and running The TED conference. Each march, the TED conference brings together outstanding people from the fields of science, design, literature and music to share their thoughts and explorations on technology, society and people in North .

    七月份，大司徒俱乐部联合泰达图书馆在假期隆重推出“TED & I”小小演说家活动系列。 每期由主持人限定一个Topic, 每位参加英语角活动的人，根据此Topic准备一个3分钟的talk show发言，发言完毕由现场的主持人和其它参与者5分钟点评此发言。要求发言生动、有趣，翔实的描述一件事并切合主题。每期现场投票选出最佳演讲者，授予“小小演说家”称号。

    In July, the Big Stuart Club and the TEDA Library rolled out the Ted & I series of small speakers over the holidays. Each episode is limited to one Topic by the host, and everyone who takes part in the activities of the English corner prepares a 3-minute talk show according to this Topic, after the speech, the moderator and other participants will comment on the speech for 5 minutes. A statement is required to describe an event in a vivid, interesting, and informative manner and to be relevant to the subject. Each issue of the live vote to choose the best speaker, awarded the“Little Speaker” title.
