你好，感谢你来到这里。我现在有一个不成熟的想法，想要在珠海找一群人一起用英语聊聊天。目前，我大概的设想如下：

我们主要的活动形式是线下见面聊天，时间大概率选在平时的晚上或者周末，并且希望能固定在某一个时间，每周一次有规律地展开。地点会在市区，咖啡厅或者饮品店之类的地方，大家各自负担自己在店内的消费即可，活动不另外收费。

活动人数暂时考虑4-8人一场，每次的时长在3小时左右。当然，如果意犹未尽也可以再一起吃个饭。活动过程中全英文交流，并以“半free talk”的形式进行，也就是说，会设计一些环节，或者抛出一些话题，方便大家展开对话，但最终还是希望大家能够随心畅聊，不需要被特定的activity所拘束。

另外，我也希望这是一个没有hierarchy的组织，每个人都是独立而平等的参与者。如果你有好玩的活动形式，都可以成为组织者，号召大家一起参加。 

目前，我还在征集members的阶段。按照我的构想，参与者需要满足以下标准：

1 You are 18+ years old. 

2 Your English is at least conversational. 

3 You are a decent human being. (Please, I don’t wanna deal with weirdos.)

In the end here, I would like to share a story that happened at an English Corner I attended a couple years ago in Chengdu. One of the things we did was that someone in the group would pose a question and everybody would try to answer it. So, one time, this girl wrote down the following question: 



How do you get over someone? 



We quickly caught on to what she was going through. We listened to her story and offered our two cents (some were more helpful than others, obviously). We had a deep talk that night, and she seemed to have cheered up a bit toward the end. Still, I could vaguely sense the could of melancholy that she was encased in. 



About a month later, I met her again at the same place (this time for a board game party, though). She brought a new boyfriend with her and was quite bright and bubbly. So much so that I didn’t recognize her until she hit me with a hey-we-meet-again greeting. She and her boyfriend had such good vibes together that it was clear to me that she felt at home with him. Recalling her state a month ago, I couldn’t help but marvel at how our lives can be transformed through our relationships with others. 



I hope to create a space where such stories can be witnessed, or better yet, created.
