《Story Meeting》 is the most popular folk literature small magazine in China, is one of the old Chinese publications. He has won the National Journal Award, the highest award of Chinese periodicals, for two times. In 1998, it ranked fifth in circulation among general journals in the world.

    八月份，大司徒俱乐部联合泰达图书馆在假期继续推出“Story泰会说故事”全新活动系列。旨在培养少年儿童英语语言表达能力，培养孩子的创意和思维，纠正语音语法、句子的连贯性。由主持人每期限定一个题材(民间传奇\探案\穿越)，参加者根据此题材在10分钟内编制一个小的完整的故事，并使用5分钟时间把故事朗读出来，要求故事的情节合理、语法正确、发音准确。由主持人和其它参与者一起对该故事提问，来丰满该故事的细节内容。最后投票评选出当场最佳故事.

    In August, the Big Stuart Club and the TEDA Library continued to launch a new activity series of "Let's tell Stories together" during the holidays.    一般认为，中国最早的书籍是龟甲和兽骨。人们在龟甲和兽骨刻下符号，就是最早的书。

    殷商的时代，人们以青铜器作为载体，刻录生活中重大的事件，这种文字就是铭文，也被称为金文。

    到了战国时期，出现了竹简。它是一种用竹片做的书，是用熟牛皮编串起来的，然后在上面用刀子刻字或用漆笔写字。我们经常用来夸赞别人有学识的“学富五车”形容的就是竹简有五车之多。

    春秋末期，还出现了写在绸子上面的书，这种书叫做帛书。它可以卷起来，一部书就是一卷或几卷绸子，用木棒做轴，所以也叫它卷轴。后来，“卷”成了书的量词。人们常说的“开卷有益”，“读书破万卷”，就是从这里来的。

   东汉时期，蔡伦改进了造纸术，发明了“蔡侯纸”，既轻便又廉价。从此纸张成了人们最主要的书写材料。蔡伦的发明使得文化的传播更加方便。人们将纸叠在一起制作成“书”，互相传阅。

  Humanity has accomplished a great feat: creating complex languages and scripts. Complex language can convey more information, and the role of writing is to record information for future generations to see, giving birth to books.

   It is generally believed that the earliest books in China were turtle shells and animal bones. People carved symbols on turtle shells and animal bones, which is the earliest book.

   In the era of the Yin and Shang dynasties, people used bronze ware as a carrier to record major events in their lives. This type of writing is called inscriptions, also known as bronze inscriptions.

   During the Warring States period, bamboo slips appeared. It is a book made of bamboo slices, woven and strung together with cooked cowhide, and then engraved with a knife or written with a paintbrush on top. We often praise others for their knowledge, describing bamboo slips as having as many as five carts.

   In the late Spring and Autumn period, there were also books written on silk called silk books. It can be rolled up, and a book is made of one or several rolls of silk, with a wooden stick as the axis, so it is also called a scroll. Later, 'roll' became a measure word for books. People often say that "opening a book is beneficial" and "reading beyond ten thousand books", which comes from here.

   During the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cai Lun improved papermaking techniques and invented "Cai Hou paper", which was both lightweight and inexpensive. From then on, paper became the primary writing material for people. Cai Lun's invention made the dissemination of culture more convenient. People stack paper together to make "books" and circulate them among each other.
