Spring is now here with blooming flowers, fine weather and…a partying mood! The 30th of April, the last day of April which leads us into May, is a good reason to celebrate. That day REDSTAR and QIBA(Qingdao International Business Association) will present you with a wonderful “Dance to May” party!
春意如许，百花争艳，更有蓝天白云相伴，如此良辰美景，不来上一场盛大的派对，岂不是辜负了上天的这份美意？4月30日，连接着美好的4月与奔放的5月，最值得庆祝一番。红星联手青岛国际商务俱乐部，将在这一天，为大家奉上一场源于德国的欧洲传统派对－“Dance to May”。
Customs of “Dance to May”
Originating from Germany and now celebrated across Europe, the Dance to May tradition has many customs.
The best known custom is the maypole. The origin of the maypole is not very clear, but the tree used for the maypole is seen as a fertility symbol in folk culture.
The customs around April 30 are varied. In some regions of Germany, young men bring their loved one a maypole decorated with a colourful crepe and a wooden heart to the house. In leap year, the ladies can also put a tree in the yard of the boy she likes. In other parts of Germany, groups of young men set up maypoles and try to steal the other group’s and protect their own. The dance tradition in May has been commercialized almost everywhere, so most venues now offer parties to dance together into the month of May.
And that's exactly how we want to hold it this year - we're dancing into May.

VENUE
The party will be held at the yard of Meet Van Gogh, a beautiful villa located in Badaguan, part of Qingdao’s old town, with artistic vibes and fantastic natural views.
此次活动将在“遇见梵高”精致的小院子里进行。“遇见梵高”位于风景怡人的八大关景区的一栋小别墅里，这里极具艺术气息，同时又能欣赏到无与伦比的自然景色，十分别致惬意。
